What is the difference between compostable and biodegradable? [Go To Top]
A: Compostable material will turn into water and biomass given the right temperature and time – as well as pressure in a composting facility. Biodegradable items will turn into biomass and methane given time and abundance of micro-organisms eating at the material.
- What is Poly Lactic Acid (PLA)? [Go To Top]
A: PLA is a polymer (a mix of chemical substances) derived from corn. The corn can be processed in various facilities, using a catalyst to turn it into a solid form where it can be applied to thermoforming (making plastic cups and food trays) and on to injection moulding (the making of hard plastics like cutlery and tumblers)
- What if you don’t supply what I need? [Go To Top]
A: The items we show on our site are just a fraction of what’s available in compostable material. If you need a custom piece of packaging, we can make a tool, provide the sheet/pellet, and make it for you. This will mean you have the rights to that product to sell to who you please.
- What if I want a product branded? [Go To Top]
A: Most of our range can be branded; the cups can be printed on, the cutlery can have your company name on them and shopping bags can be printed.
